We've been hard at work the past couple of weeks. Here's a little update about each class: Screen Printing - As usual, we're juggling multiple projects! We never seem to have one thing on our plate at a time. Currently, we're finishing up shirts for culinary, finishing up softball shirts and finishing up our personal shirt design. Last week we finished up our stamps design. The students seemed to enjoy carving them and making their own imagery so they can stamp whatever and whenever they want (within reason, of course) :P Graphic Design 1 - We completely switched gears from the Elements of Design right into our introduction to learning Adobe Illustrator. I've thrown a lot of information at the students really fast. With some review, they seem to be catching on pretty quickly! We're moving into our first independent project, a sticker design. Today we're working on our thumbnail sketches and on Monday we'll be creating our designs in Illustrator. Graphic Design 2 - The students just finished, critiqued and edited their propaganda poster. Now, we are working on a CMYK/RGB design after reviewing and studying color. This project is one of my favorites as in the previous years the students have created a lot of cool imagery from it. Intro to Photoshop - Student finished up both the Pixel Art design (which they loved), the selective color project and now we've moved on to creating handmade collages. The students really enjoy the collage project because it's really hands on. I'm excited to see what they create this time around! Below are some photos from the various projects: Screen Printing - Culinary Shirts, Softball Shirts and Stamps Graphic Design 1 - Retro Triangle Design Graphic Design 2 - Propaganda Posters Intro to Photoshop - Pixel Art
